Last quarter at Enzia

From raising funds to releasing new versions of their products, our portfolio companies have begun 2022 on a strong footing. As they advance in their operations and mission, they are looking to expand their teams too. You can check out their progress and the opportunities they offer in the ‘Portfolio Spotlight’ section.  Parallelly, we continue to  expand our portfolio. We will be announcing two new investments soon. We continue to evaluate a robust pipeline especially in the environment-tech space.

At Enzia, the last quarter was one of engagement and outreach, which highlighted Enzia’s sector focus and thought leadership. Our partners also participated in online and offline events where they shared Enzia’s outcomes-based approach to women’s health, innovations in healthtech and edtech trends, both domestic and global. Find out more about these events in the ‘Media & Events’ section. Our thought leadership journey continues this quarter as well, building on our work in the alternative protein sector and outcomes framework.

At the heart of Enzia’s mission is to deliver strong customer outcomes. For an overview of the what and why of our outcomes-based approach at Enzia, this article is a good start: there’s more coming up, so do keep watching this space.

We are also expanding our team. We are in the process of onboarding two investment professionals and now looking for a stellar candidate for the Finance role. We are actively looking for candidates with 4-6 years of work experience and those with good analytical, project management and collaboration skills. Please help us to spread the word and encourage people to apply by sending an email to: marcomm@enzia.vc.

CuriousJr

CuriousJr is a mobile-based  platform that teaches coding to school-going children in vernacular languages. In February 2022, the company launched a brand new app with a well-defined curriculum for learning mobile-based coding, developed entirely in-house. This is India’s first mobile-based Coding curriculum for students of class 6th to12th. The curriculum currently covers Block Coding, JavaScript, and Computer fundamentals, and the team is working on including Python and HTML/CSS in it as well. The app, both previous and updated, is gaining strong traction, and by the end of March 2022, had registered 1 mn+ downloads. CuriousJr’s endeavour to provide coding lessons in vernacular languages is attracting regional attention; leading Hindi daily Amar Ujala covered the company’s “why” behind learning coding, as penned by one of its founders. You can check it out here: कोडिंग शुरुआत हो बचपन से.

But that’s not all. With its presence expanding across India, CuriousJr is expanding its team as well.
