Families in the Western world continue to face a meaningful gap between access to high-quality, personalized instruction and affordability. While demand for supplemental learning outside the school system is well established, particularly in core academic subjects, traditional solutions have remained either expensive or operationally rigid. This creates an opportunity for platforms that can deliver consistent learning outcomes with greater flexibility and reach.

Codeyoung is building an India-based global tutoring brand that delivers 1:1 live sessions in Math, Coding, English, and Science to students aged 5-17. By combining a strong teacher ecosystem with a structured, mastery-based approach to learning, the company offers personalized instruction at scale while maintaining a clear focus on quality and outcomes.

Our investment in Codeyoung is rooted in the clarity of this approach and the scale of the opportunity it addresses. In markets such as the US and the UK, after-school learning is deeply embedded in the K–12 education ecosystem. Yet the market has historically been served by two extremes: high-cost private tutoring and legacy offline learning centers. This has left a large segment of families underserved when it comes to flexible, outcome-oriented solutions delivered in a modern format.

Codeyoung bridges this gap by leveraging a large pool of highly qualified tutors, primarily from India, to deliver consistent, personalized instruction globally. While the company initially saw strong adoption among Non-Resident Indian (NRI) families, it has since expanded successfully to native student populations in the US and UK. This expansion meaningfully broadens its addressable market and reinforces the robustness of the model.

What distinguishes Codeyoung is its disciplined and thoughtful approach to building the business. Growth has been driven by careful expansion across subjects, geographies, and customer segments. This is supported by proprietary technology and increasing integration of AI to enhance learning experiences and operational efficiency. The result is steady scale without compromising delivery quality or organizational focus.

This operational rigor is underpinned by the leadership of founders Shailendra Dhakad and Rupika Taneja. Both the IIT Delhi graduates bring complementary strengths across strategy, execution, and organization building. Over the years, they have built a strong leadership bench across growth, academics, product, and customer experience, and have demonstrated the resilience required to navigate a complex and evolving global edtech landscape.

We are excited to partner with Shailendra, Rupika, and the entire Codeyoung team as they continue to build a global education platform focused on delivering high-quality, personalized learning to students across geographies.
