This quarter at Enzia

In the first quarter of the year, we have been busy building team strength, launching our fund and raising capital as well as partnering with groundbreaking entrepreneurs!

With Namita Dalmia, a pioneering voice in Indian edtech, joining us as a partner, we are a stronger team. Together, we bring experience working and investing across sectors and asset classes.

We launched the Enzia fund in April and it has been super exciting! We are grateful and excited to partner with our early backers which include tech entrepreneurs and angel investors, partners of global consulting and investing firms, CXOs of health and education companies, and investors who have been investing with us through our syndicate. We are keen to partner with more like-minded individuals, family offices, institutions and support game-changing entrepreneurs in these fundamental sectors.

After closing the first four Enzia syndicate investments in healthtech (Morphle, iMumz, Proactive for Her, Numen), we welcome Kafqa, an edtech startup, as our fifth and last angel portfolio company. Kafqa is building a robust platform for children and adults to learn extra-curricular skills. In the coming quarter, we look to invest in 2-3 companies through our fund while collaborating with other investors.

Last but not the least, we also started working on our brand to revamp our website and build our social media presence. We hope to stay connected with you and share all the happenings at Enzia!

iMumz

The pregnancy and parenting app has recorded off-the-chart customer metrics - 91 percent subscribers continue to engage with the programme beyond week 8. Subscribers are spending an average of 31 mins daily on the app. The iMumz team also conducted a study testing the effectiveness of its programmes and found out that 60 percent of all mothers who used the iMumz app experienced reduction in stress, and half reported improved sleep. The study will soon be published in a South East Asian journal.

iMumz launched its parenting vertical last quarter, focused on guiding early parents through the important emotional and physical milestones of the baby. The vertical offers a parenting programme which includes a one year subscription to “Responsive Parenting” content and a playkit. It is priced at INR 1999. Catch the launch of the vertical here.

Morphle Labs

Morphle did what it knows best to tide over the pandemic - used their technology capabilities to build a global, digital sales model which needs no human intervention in the sales and installation process. With this sales model, they have sold devices in the US, Europe and Africa enabling a truly digital pathology experience. Already touching an ARR of USD 1mn, the company has now added members to its Sales Team and is looking to double the ARR over the next 3-4 months.

Having built the initial proof of concept in global markets, the company is also planning to build local partnerships there and working on regulatory approvals to give a further fillip to its sales plans. In addition, Morphle is working with strategic partners to develop an AI marketplace.
